2 - What's the build-up of the product? How do you make the connections?
Figure 1 shows the typical build-up of a standard Glassiled product:
  • Conductive coating: to transport the electrical energy through the product
  • Base glass: contains a conductive coating and the LED's
  • Cover glass: protects the LED's and their connections with the conductive coating
  • PVB: transparent polyvinylbutyral interlayer to provide adhesion between Base glass and Cover glass.
  • Bus bars: positioned on the edge of the product right onto the conductive coating (and under the PVB).

3 - How do you power the product?
The product is powered with a DC power supply. All cables and connectors are delivered with each Glassiled product.
4 - Can the LED's be powered from the center of the glass (not from the edge of the glass)?
This is not possible for standard Glassiled products. Depending on quantities, we can develop a non-standard product with a drilled connection. Do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
5 - Where can the busbars be positioned?
The bus bars are always positioned near the edge of the Glassiled glass product. Please check the data sheets for further information.
6 - What kind of power supply is needed/provided?
It's always a DC (= Direct Current) power supply with limited tension and current control. The power supply depends on the application and the required voltage (e.g. 24V, 48V or 60V).
7 - How does a LED work?
A LED is a Light Emitting Diode, which means that it emits light when a current is sent through.
8 - Can each LED be controlled in a separate way?
No, but you can control each pane of Glassiled and achieve very nice effects.
9 - Do you always work with low power products?
Most of the time, it will be low power (e.g. 24V, 48V or 60V). If required for your application, we can go up to 100V.
